The complete NitroIDE keyboard reference — app commands, the command palette, and the Monaco editor essentials. On macOS, use Cmd wherever you see Ctrl.
NitroIDE App Shortcuts
Built into the workspace itself — these work anywhere in the editor.
| Ctrl + K | Open the command palette (every IDE action, fuzzy-searchable) |
| Ctrl + S | Save buffers and force a hard re-compile of the preview |
| Esc | Close the command palette or any open menu |
| ↑ ↓ then Enter | Navigate the command palette and run the highlighted command |
Monaco Editor Essentials
NitroIDE runs the same editor engine as VS Code, so these defaults come free.

| Ctrl + H | Find and replace |
| Ctrl + G | Go to line / column |
| Ctrl + / | Toggle line comment |

Multi-cursor Power Moves
Edit several places at once — the fastest way to rename, reformat, or restructure.
| Alt + Click | Add an extra cursor wherever you click |
| Ctrl + Alt + ↑ / ↓ | Add a cursor on the line above / below |
| Ctrl + D (repeat) | Keep pressing to select the next match — then type once to change them all |
| Esc | Drop back to a single cursor |
Console CLI Commands
Prefer typing? The developer console doubles as a command line.
| install name | Inject a CDN library, e.g. install tailwind |
| export zip | Download the whole project as a ZIP |
| format | Format the current code |
| theme dark|light|toggle | Switch the workspace theme |
| clear | Clear the console history |
Missing a shortcut you rely on? Open an issue and tell us — the palette-first design means most actions are one Ctrl+K away anyway.
Learn five, ignore the rest
Nobody memorizes a cheatsheet in one sitting. Learn these five and let the command palette handle everything else — they're the 20% of shortcuts behind 80% of the speed:
| 1 | Ctrl + K — the palette. Every action lives here; type a few letters and hit Enter. |
| 2 | Ctrl + S — save and force the preview to recompile right now. |
| 3 | Ctrl + D — select the next match. Press it three times, type once, and you've renamed a variable everywhere. |
| 4 | Ctrl + / — comment or uncomment the current line while debugging. |
| 5 | ? — outside the editor, this brings you straight back to this cheatsheet. |
Practice them in the workspace for ten minutes and they'll stick — muscle memory beats memorization.
