A True Offline
HTML Editor.

Once the page loads, you can disconnect from the internet. Build entire web applications on airplanes, trains, or in cafes with spotty Wi-Fi using local storage.
Your Code, Saved Locally.
Our proprietary Project Manager saves your Virtual File System directly to your browser's IndexedDB. Close the tab, lose Wi-Fi, reboot—your code will be exactly where you left it.
The Official Monaco Editor Engine
NitroIDE doesn't just look like VS Code; it runs on the exact same open-source text editing core (Monaco). You get the identical syntax highlighting, multi-cursor editing, and bracket matching you are used to.
import * as monaco from 'monaco-editor';
monaco.editor.create(document.getElementById('container'));
Native Emmet Pre-Installed
No extensions required. Emmet abbreviations are built natively into the compiler. Scaffold massive HTML trees and complex CSS properties with a single Tab press.

⚡ NitroIDE: Low Memory Footprint
100% Offline Capable
Unlike VS Code Online or GitHub Codespaces, NitroIDE doesn't require a continuous server ping. Once the page loads, you can code complex logic entirely offline.
compileLocal('index.html');
⚡ Rendered successfully.
No "node_modules" Blackhole
Skip the heavy local setup. Use our integrated CDN manager to inject React, GSAP, or Tailwind directly into the browser without touching a terminal.
⚡ React Ready.
Integrated Terminal Experience.
You don't have to give up your integrated terminal. Our developer console mirrors the desktop experience, capturing native object serialization, network errors, and CLI commands directly in the browser.
- Native Object Serialization: Inspect deeply nested JSON arrays exactly like Chrome DevTools.
- Syntax Highlighted Errors: Click any error to instantly jump to that exact line in the editor.
- Integrated CLI: Type
install gsap,export zip, orformatdirectly into the console to control the workspace.
The Desktop Experience, Unshackled.
We retained the premium, edge-to-edge dark mode aesthetic you love from desktop editors, but rebuilt the file system to be entirely virtual and draggable.
- Monaco Editor Engine: Powered by the exact same text-editing core as VS Code with Emmet support.
- Device Emulation: Instantly toggle your live preview between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile breakpoints.
- Virtual File System: Manage multiple `.js` and `.css` modules in a clean, draggable slide-out sidebar.

Common Questions
Straight answers about coding offline.
Does NitroIDE really work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, the editor, preview, and your saved projects keep working offline as an installable PWA.
Where is my code saved offline?
In your browser’s IndexedDB on your own device — close the tab, lose Wi-Fi, or reboot, and your code is still there.
Can I install NitroIDE as an app?
Yes. It is a PWA: install it from Chrome, Edge, or Safari and it opens in its own window, offline.
How do I move an offline project to another computer?
Export it as a ZIP, or push it to GitHub — the output is plain HTML, CSS, and JS files.
Full Workspace. $0.
Other cloud web IDEs charge you monthly just to keep your frontend projects private. We built a free, local code editor for the community.
Free Forever — The Only Plan
Every built-in feature free. No card required.
Install NitroIDE Like a Native App.
NitroIDE is a fully installable Progressive Web App. Pin it to your home screen, taskbar, or dock — no app store, no download, no admin rights required. Once installed it launches instantly, works offline, and keeps your code on your device.
- Chrome & Edge: click the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose "Install NitroIDE".
- Chromebook: install it straight from Chrome — it runs offline and your files survive reboots.
- Offline-first: the service worker caches the editor, so it opens even with no connection.
