Tailwind CSS. Without the Config.
A fast way to test utility classes online. We pre-inject the Tailwind CDN so you can start building pixel-perfect, responsive layouts the second the editor loads.
Instant Utility Rendering
Type a class, see the result. The client-side engine parses your utility classes in real-time, delivering immediate visual feedback for complex grid and flexbox layouts.

Responsive Design Emulation
Testing Tailwind's md: and lg: breakpoints is effortless. Toggle the viewport emulator to see how your design shifts across devices.

Free Forever — The Only Plan
Every built-in feature free. No card required.
How It Works
Utility-first, four steps, zero config.
Step 1 — Launch the Tailwind workspace
Open the workspace with the Tailwind environment — the Play CDN is pre-injected, so there's no config file to write and no npm install to run.
Step 2 — Write utility classes
Compose layouts directly in your markup with Tailwind's utilities. Classes compile in the browser as you type, including arbitrary values like w-[512px].
Step 3 — Test responsive variants
Prefix classes with sm:, md:, or lg: and flip through the viewport emulator to verify each breakpoint renders the way you intended.
Step 4 — Export your work
Happy with the layout? Export the project as a ZIP — your HTML with its utility classes, ready to drop into any codebase that uses Tailwind.
Common Questions
Straight answers about the Tailwind playground.
Do I need to install or configure Tailwind?
No. The Tailwind Play CDN is already wired into the workspace, so you start typing utilities immediately — no tailwind.config.js, no build step, no dependencies to manage.
Are arbitrary values supported?
Yes. Because compilation happens in the browser via the Play CDN, arbitrary values like text-[13px] or grid-cols-[1fr_2fr] work exactly as they do in a configured project.
How do I test responsive designs?
Use Tailwind's responsive prefixes (sm:, md:, lg:, xl:) and switch the viewport emulator between mobile, tablet, and desktop to watch each variant apply live.
Can I use this to learn Tailwind?
It's well suited for it: instant visual feedback on every class you type makes the relationship between utilities and rendered output obvious, which is the fastest way to build intuition.
Can I take my code into a real project afterward?
Yes. Export the workspace as a ZIP and move the markup into any project with Tailwind set up — the classes are standard utilities, so nothing needs converting.
